absoluteley charming atmosphere, if you enjoy listening to your neighbors argue all night. The room was cleaned just once in five days, but the towels had a delightful scent of mildew. I woudl ve been thrilled to have a little upgrade considering my refined tastes, but I guess luxury is lost on this establishment. Just couldn’t recommend it.

Pools were great, always plenty of loungers. The kids' club was a pure hit with the wee ones, kept them entertained. Only downside was the messy snack bar, could be better supervised. cracking holiday!

Multiple pool options, engaging evening shows, diverse dining options
The lack of shaded areas around pools made lounging unbearable at times!!! the insufficient staff in restaurants led to frustratingly slow service during peak hours. More attention to cleaning would enhance the experience!!!

Animation team kept the kids engaged with activities like archery and evening entertainment. Sunbeds by the main pool filled up quickly each morning, so get there early. Room was spacious and clean. Not many shaded areas near the pool, which made lounging a bit uncomfortable at times.

great location but needs more pool shade
The bungalows were spacious, ideal for families with children. I particularly enjoyed the inside/outside shower room—showering under the stars was a wonderful experience! Dining was a highlight. every breakfast featured fresh, made-to-order omelettes and a wide variety to choose from. The garden view was lovely, enhancing our stay with its vibrant greenery.
A bit more shaded areas by the pool would create a more comfortable lounging experience.

the wonderful views from the terrace bar made our evenings unforgettable
We had an incredible stay at HL Rio Playa. The accommodation was pristine, with spacious rooms and reliable internet, perfect for our family of four. The varied food options surprised us, highlighting how the staff worked diligently to maintain cleanliness and provide excellent service. The entertainment was engaging, especially the kids' animation team who truly made our children's experience memorable. Plus, the location was convenient, just a short walk to the sea and shops.
